Side-Oats Grama (Bouteloua curtipendula)
Side-Oats Grama is a warm-season grass that really gets going as summer heats up. The foliage starts blue-green, then shifts toward copper and soft rust tones in fall. It stays upright without fuss, adds movement without flopping, and plays incredibly well with flowering perennials without competing for attention.
Side-Oats Grama is tough, adaptable, and naturally suited to southeastern Wisconsin conditions. It handles dry soil, heat, wind, and poor ground with ease, making it a great choice for difficult spots where other plants struggle.
