Obedient Plant (Physostegia virginiana)

Obedient Plant adds a lively vertical rhythm to the late summer garden with its neat rows of snapdragon-like flowers stacked along tall, square stems. The blooms come in soft pink to pale lavender and are loved for their long bloom period and pollinator appeal.  In moist soil it can spread with enthusiasm, making it perfect for filling out wetter areas, rain gardens, and the edges of prairie plantings.
